Project Trust

I'm going to attempt to be succinct - something I'm not great at. Information shamelessly lifted from the above website, so only read on if you're averse to following links...

Project Trust is a registered educational charity (Charity No. SCO25668) which sends around 280 volunteers abroad to over 20 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas annually. It is widely regarded as the oldest Gap Year company in Britain, and selects its volunteers based on their skills and interests.

Volunteers are selected over four days, trained and briefed prior to going overseas and debriefed on return. Project Trust’s aim is to provide the volunteer with an educational experience which allows them to grow as a person by getting to know - and becoming part of - a culture entirely different to their own. They feel that only once fully integrated into a community can you make a real difference. None of the positions occupied by volunteers take work from locals.

The views expressed in this blog are my own, and not those of Project Trust, or the Ministry of Education.
